October 8 - 11, 2010 Park Avenue Armory presents an extraordinary four-day, indoor Carnival that’s fun for the entire family—a whimsical and theatrical event combining the classic and the contemporary, featuring breathtaking performances and authentic carnival rides and games. With a massive fifty-foot Ferris wheel as its centerpiece, the Wade Thompson Drill Hall is transformed into a fantastical Carnival featuring an array of performances in a specially-designed theater, magicians from the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus, and performances by stilt-walkers, jugglers, and contortionists. The Carnival will also feature picnic areas, a range of traditional carnival concessions, and educational workshops in the circus arts—including balloon sculpture, juggling, and pantomime.
