New York artist, Afruz Amighi has been chosen as the Jameel Prize 2009 Winning Work. The contemporary artist is known for the rich use of decorative pattern, technical innovation and artistic harmony. Her series of shadow pieces using light and shadow to create complex and engaging designs is awarded a total of £25,000.
