Art Hamptons returns, now in its 3rd successful year. The art fair features post-war and contemporary art presented by a renowned lineup of international galleries and includes all mediums of art from paintings, works on paper and printed editions to photography, art glass, ceramics and sculpture. In conjunction with the fair, The First Annual Worldwide Art Collectors' Conference, will be led by Benjamin Genocchio –Editor-in-Chief and VP of Editorial at Art & Auction and former Art Critic for the New York Times.

BRING YOUR OWN ART is a 24-hour marathon that will take place at X Initiative from

February 3rd to February 4th and will be open to everyone. Artists, galleries, curators, collectors and art lovers are invited to come to X and hang their own artworks with no restriction.

Inspired by Walter Hopps’s experimental Thirty-Six Hours, an event that the legendary curator organized in Washington in 1978, during which he installed anything anybody brought that would fit through the door, BYOA is a festive occasion that fosters unusual collaborations between artists, art professionals and dilettantes, while offering an alternative to curated group shows.

BYOA is a collaboration with the Fine Art Adoption Network (FAAN), an online network

originally commissioned by Art in General that connects artists and potential collectors(adopters). Adopters acquire an artwork without purchasing it by soliciting the artists through FAAN. The artists choose to whom they will give their work. At BYOA, artists can exhibit work they are making available for adoption through the FAAN website, in addition to whatever other work they choose to exhibit. Booklyn Artists Alliance

The Booklyn Artists Alliance is a non-profit that produces and distributes handmade books and teaches book binding skills through classes and workshops. The first Tuesday of every month, they host the Open Salon for a chance for you to peruse the collection and to meet the artists and writers behind it.

About the organization:

Founded in 1999, Booklyn is an artist-run, nonprofit organization headquartered in Brooklyn, New York. Our mission is to promote artist books as an art form and educational resource; to provide educational institutions and the public with programming involving contemporary artist books; and to assist artists in exhibiting, distributing, and publishing innovative bookwork.

The series of Art Book Swap events was co-created by Regency Arts Press Ltd. and the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) as a way to raise their visibility and their missions to further awareness and appreciation of the visual arts. No money is made by any organization through the Art Book Swap, and Regency, NADA and MoMA donate their time, efforts and labor to the event for the benefit and enjoyment of the art-loving public. All remaining books are donated to the Prison Readers Encouragement Project for placement in prison libraries in the New York City region.
